System Info PBX- Mitel 200, with PRI, using DID's

We use abreviated speed dials to forward all calls to cell phones. I might be mistaken, but I thought I could forward all calls to a direct cell phone without using abv speed dials.

I.E. Forward code=12
I am trying to forward all calls to 13235551212.
Code I thought I would press on the set 121913235551212. As soon as I press 1219 , I get a waive off tone.
I know the system can handle forwarding calls to outside numbers, it only works with Abv Dial.
I.E. Using same codes, but number is set to Abv dial=98
I can press 121#98 (#is access code to abv dial). Works perfect.

Last night we had a voice mail upgrade, so my brain might not be working correctly today. Thanks for any help/comments.

Only if they are programmed as speed dials (abr. dials) or programmed on a key. This is the only way the switch can verify the COR is allowing the entry (i.e. it cannot check it in real time).

Ditto, Cant forward direct to external number on a 200. Must use speedcall.

3300 is different

Thanks guys, I can always trust the responses in here.

Well, we used a 200 icp with 5212 phones and forwarded calls from x200 directly to a cell phone without using speedcall.....
Make sure you have the correct options enabled and then hit the blue key to change the display until call forwarding appears......set your number manually and it does work.

Seeing is believing.

Metballnut, I'll take you at your word, but not the last time I tried.

I seem to remember that external call forward is an option...perhaps you need to look at your MOC and MOSS options to see if this option was part of the package you ordered for this customer

You do not need to setup Call Fowarding to a Abbreivated Dial. It just needs to be setup before it can be activated.

We only use the 4015 and 4025. I have tried forwarding from the phone via a feature button. It only works with a speeed dial. We have been using the external call forward for years. However the only way it works is through speed dial. I even tried at the console to manually punch in the numbers. I get a waive off tone once I press 9.

I will try metballnut's suggestion on a 430 phone. I have one in the building for testing VM ports. Maybe it is a set feature.?

Not sure if I understand, program and then activate it.
Sounds simple. But please clarify.
Do you mean setup the Abv dial? Then activate the Abv dial number. When I forward the call.

Back to square 1.

In your original post, you indicated you were trying to input 121913235551212 and got error after 1219.

Based on recent posts (that say number can be input at this point and not speed call) i would advise that you need to put your ARS access code in as well e.g. 9121913235551212

Failing that, as I have yet to confirm this is possible.

you can program a personal key on the phone as a speedcall to dial 9121913235551212. At the time the system requests the forward to number, just press the speed dial key and the number will be entered. Then save and turn on the forwarding.

You can also program a system speed call in form 31 to dial the number. You would then enter the feature access code (FAC 24) and Bin Number as the forward destination.

Ok this week I was the pigeon. Thanks for the clarity.
I programed the Speed dial on a button on the phone.
Then pressed the access code and the SD. Worked perfect.

However I am not recommending this solution for my site. I had an instance where we needed to change a forward to a cell number. Since we use Abv Dial (Form31). I was able to change the forward from my warm home late last night.
