Is is possible to configure a specific telco line that when called would forward to a specific extenstion ? Right now we have four telco lines one main number that everyone calls and 3 roll over lines. Can the three rollovers still participate in rollover and be used for direct inward dialing ? Normally the operator want to get all calls on the main line but there is one extension that would be nice to not have to transfer the calls all the time. They do not want to use an auto attendant. So I am thinking we use one of the other inbound lines and publish that for the specific user. then folks call that number direct...

no you can not route the calls by "if the line gets called directly go here" feature.
The lines will ring regardless where the call comes from or if the other lines get calls as well or not.
Having the last number as a backdoor line that goes to the auto attendant is possible and then people can call there and punch in the extension they want to reach.

That sounds like a nice idea. When you say the last line you literally mean the last rollover line ? So that port gets the auto attendant. So if either a call rolls to it or someone calls it direct it will hit the attendant? that would fill the bill (I think).

When a line rings, there is no way to tell if it is the result of hunting from the other busy lines, or dialed directly by the outside caller. So, no, you can't route the last line of a hunt group to a single user.

If you have a total of 4 lines, and the first 3 are in a hunt group, you could have the 4th line answered by the auto attendant, allowing the caller to dial the extension that they want to reach.

You could also get analog DID trunks, and a Multitech DID Finder to route to extensions based on the number the caller dialed. Incoming only, you would need these DID trunks in addition to your existing lines.

use the last line , leave rollover in place and give that extension immediate ring on that line and the operator delayed ring .
