I was asked by my prof to work on this cropping system model which takes soil,weather and crop files as input from every place around the world and give out the estimated plant growth for those values. This software takes input as daily data files now he asks me to develop the code in such a way it takes hourly inputs.It has about 100 .for files in it can some one help me im new to FORTRAN.What do you think might be the changes required to satisfy his condition. I dont really know where to start, I can hardly understand the code ,thanks

Your discription is not very illuminating. At least not for me.
If you have solved the problem for daily datafiles, and there is no other change in formula or algorithm, then you just put all your code in a loop and have it run 24 times for each single day. Maybe you will have to correct the output a little to not just show date and place but time of day as well.
That would be it. At least as far as I understand your problem.
