I am using Crystal reports XI 11.0.0.1282.

I have data parameter which is linked to several sub reports where it is used for data selection and display.

I have also implemented a formula which displays the date in a more user friendly (and bilingual) way. I would like to make the formula available in the subreports without cutting and pasting it in each. I tried linking the formula in the main report to a parameter name in the subreport. This appears to work except that when I generate the report, the subreports which try to use the formulas linked to them as parameters generate blank pages.

Go into the record selection formula in the subreport and remove the condition where that link is used. By default, when you pass a link to a subreport, it becomes part of the record selection condition. You can also turn that behavior off by editing the subreport links.

IdoMillet,

I've already removed the formula/parameter from the selection criteria. The subreport is still blank.
