Formulas are not working in my spreadsheet,,,

Hi there,

I am trying to run formulas in my spreadsheet, but it does not want to work. It keeps copying the actual text of the formula down the cells.

How can I solve this problem. I have tried saving it to a different format... but nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi DGK,

The problem is most likely that the cell with the formula is formatted as 'text'. Change it to 'General' or some other format, then select the end of your formula and press <ENTER> and it should start working again.

Another posibility is that you have somehow set the worksheet view to formulas (perhaps by the keyboard shortcut CTRL+`)

Try this shortcut again to see if it resets the sheet to values. ` is the key to the left of 1, for clarity!
