Hi,

Is it possible to create a formula without any comparison with a field in the database? What I mean is that I need a formula that has 3 texts (G.S.T. and Q.S.T. and H.S.T.). I want to create a group so I have those 3 taxes in my report. The thing is that I have sub-acounts for the taxes and I want to have the group G.S.T. first (sub-accounts 120, 210, 220, etc.), then the group H.S.T. (sub-accounts 120, 210, 220, etc.) and fining with the 3rd one. The sub-accounts are already a group. Is that possible? The report should look like this:

G.S.T. 120 $
G.S.T. 210 $
G.S.T. 220 $
Q.S.T. 120 $
Q.S.T. 210 $
Q.S.T. 220 $
H.S.T. 120 $
H.S.T 210 $
H.S.T. 220 $

Thank you in advance.

Anne

You just want to use a random assignment of groups?

I'm guessing that you do want to create and base these groups on some criteria, which would mean there will be a comparison to data in the table(s).

Try supplying the following:

Crystal version
Database used
Example data
Expected output

-k

Hi!

I just had a great idea of a workaround and it will be better for the report!

Thank you anyway for responding so quickly!

Have a great day!
