Hello everyone

My issue is this: I've pulled transaction amounts into my report

The raw data looks like this

Customer TransType TransAmt
John Doe Disbursement $200.00
Disbursement $300.00
Receipt $500.00
Disbursement $800.00
etc.

I then GROUPED the data by Transaction Type (either Disbursement or Receipt) with totals for each making the report appear as:

Customer
John Doe

Disbursements Total : $1,300.00
Receipts Total: $500.00

What I'd like to do now is to subtract the Receipts Total from the Disbursement Total, and I'm thinking this should be easy enough to do, but I find myself totally stumped. Can you subtract the results of a one value in a group from another in the same group?

Any suggestions are really appreciated. Thanks so much!
Lisa

Create 2 formula fields, Disb and Recpt as follows:

If {type}="Recpt" then {amount} else 0
If {type}="Disb" then {amount} else 0

Then subtotal both fields, and subtract the two. Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
