Hello:

My main Crystal XI report has inventory items in it. I have a column to the right of these inventory item IDs that contains the quantities of those items, and those quantities are pulled from a subreport. (This subreport pulls from an Excel spreadsheet, while the main report pulls from a SQL database.)

In this subreport, I have the inventory item IDs suppressed. And, not every item on the main report is on the subreport (i.e. the spreadsheet).

For any items in the main report that are not on the subreport (i.e. not on the spreadsheet), the column prints blank.

Is there a way that I can have the main report print "Not on spreadsheet", instead of being blank, for those items that are not in the subreport?

Look here for details of how to use shared variables. Remember that they can only be used in the main-report section below the section that calls the subreport.
