I created a formula for running total for two groups. I put an initializing formula in the Group Header Section to bring the new group's detail back to 0, but when the running total hits the second group, the running total for the second group doesn't go back to 0. My question is, why isn't it NOT going back to 0 w/ each new group? Thx.

Hard to say since you didn't share what you've created.
Perhaps you used = instead of :=?
You can probably skip the whole formula creation effort and just use a Running Total for these.
