This is probably gonna seem really easy...
My company recently dumped me into the wonderful world of crystal reports, YEAH!. I am having on heck of a time!

This is the situation. I want to query table one, using a starts with expression, to extract a query value from linked table 2 to for a sub report.

[tt]
TABLE A TABLE B
|------| |------|
UseInput% ----> |Field1|--(Link)---|Field1|
| | | |
| | |Feild2|--> Subreport
|------| |------|

[/tt]

I know how to do it in SQl...but i wanna leanr how to do it in Crystal.

Hi,

The following Record Selection criteria will bring back all field values starting with "A" ...

{TableA.field1} startswith "A"

The second part is whether you actually need a subreport or just to group the main report on your {TableB.field2} and include the links from TableB to TableC, TableD, etc. in your main report to enable the detail fields to be dropped into your report.

Hth,
Geoff
