When I enter "any" formula such as +a1+b1, the actual formala is displayed in the cell and not the results. what could the problem be?

Oct 10, 2008 #6 S SkipVought Programmer Dec 4, 2001 47,492 US a .csv is ONLY a text file. It was in the Excel workbook that opened the file. WHERE did you enter this formula? Explain where the cell is with respect to the data directly from the .csv file. Skip, Just traded in my old subtlety... for a NUANCE! Upvote 0 Downvote

Oct 10, 2008 Thread starter #7 wec43wec Technical User Aug 6, 2005 226 US Skip - not sure. The formula was in a report on sheet1 and the raw data (CSV) was in sheet2. I am not sure if sheet1 contain data directly from the CSV file. However I believe it was copied or pulled from Sheet2. Upvote 0 Downvote
