Formula Issue

I have created a report in CRXI with chart. The table is as:

PI 5/15/2007 2300

DI 5/13/2007 2
PI 5/13/2007 2222
DI 5/12/2007 4
PI 5/12/2007 2309
PI 5/11/2007 2000


I need to create chart with bars(2 different Bars 1 for PI & 1 for DI) where y-axis shows the date & x-axis shows the total ie. chart will show the total per day for 2 different names. The problem I'm getting is the bars for PI show data for 5/16 as"2345" and 5/15 as "2300" but after that the bar shows 0 for 5/14,0 for 5/13 dates & rest for other dates.. Instead the bar should show 2390 for 5/14, 2222 for 5/13 etc.. & last bar show 2000 for PI.
But the bars for DI shows all data fine.
Any help.
