I am a new user to crystal reports. I am trying to create a report and have a formula that displays the following. I have a field that if it is greater than $5k i want it to display a message. I keep getting an error message stating a number is needed here. I dont know what i am doing wrong. Need some help. Thanks for your time and help in advance.

Hi,
Formulas must use the same format for its parts, so if the field you are testing is numeric then a change in your formula is needed:

@NewFormula
If ToText({Table.Numberfield}) > "5000"
then
"Show This Message"

To Paraphrase:"The Help you get is proportional to the Help you give.."

Thank you!! That worked. I appreciate your help.
