Hi,

I have a spread sheet I’m trying to come up with a formula that will add text to the totals box depending on the dropdowns that have been selected. There may be a total of 3 different text words depending on what words they pick from the drop downs. if only one word was selected for all the selections then only one word would show in the totals box. Please see the attached for a better example. Thank you for your time and help

hi again,

Really don't understand your "Total" which is not a total but a summary of sorts.

So do you want only ONE text value in the summary for any occurrence of the text in the cells above?

So you could COPY the values from the Data > Validation drop downs, to another location, use the Data > Data tools > Remove duplicates feature and then use that result to produce your concatenated text.
