Hi

I am working with Excel 2003 and have a main worksheet of "raw data" that populates other worksheets in the workbook.

In the raw worksheet I have discharge times and in another sheet I want to show % of cases that are discharged by 11:00. This includes from 1 minute midnight to 11:00. What formula will give me this and do I need named ranges?

Thanks.

Hi,

You never really 'need' Named Ranges, but, IMHO, they make things so much simpler and easier to understand a year from now. I assume that discharge times are time only...
[tt]
=COUNTIF(discharge_times,"<"&TIME(11,0,0))/COUNT(discharge_times)
[/tt]

Skip,

[glasses]Just traded in my old subtlety...

Hi Skip

Just getting back to this now - I keep forgetting about CountIf so thanks for reminding me! The solution worked though I had no doubt!! Thanks very much.
