Formula for SUM

Hi ,

I would liek to know what the below formula indicates and when we use it? I am troubleshooting an existing report.

IF SUM({field1,field2}) > 0 THEN

This will sum the field1 based on field2.

fields2 is a field used to group the values in field1

You should show us the entire formula. I'm guessing that this is a check to make sure the denominator in a fraction is not zero, which would otherwise cause a "division by 0" error.
