Formula For Memo Fields

I have tried to write a formula on a memo field which crystal does not allow. Is there a way around this what I am trying to do is. I have help desk calls each time something happens to the call there is a note field, I only want to diplay the notes field if the the call status is complted as this is a memo field I can not seem to do anything. Please can you let me know some work arround ideas.

Hi,

You are right you cannot base a formula on a memo field buit this might work.

You could supress the section that the memo field is in if
the call status <>'Completed'

Thanks for your help I had idea's like this the problem being I need the data of when the call was logged so I need data from before If I supress everything that is <> to completed I will not be able to use the start date.

I didn't realise you couldn't do formulas on memo fields oh well ney mind.

Would conditionally suppressing the field as opposed to the entire section solve your problem?
