I have a report that is using a simple formula if the criteria is met from one table (doc name and status) then return the date. The information comes back perfectly in Crystal but when I try to export it to an excel sheet regardless of the excel version (max version is 8.0 extended) I am getting a long number for all of the fields whether there should be a date or not. I have formatted the date and still cannot come up with a solution for this problem. Please help! Terri Mimbs

Are you excuting and exporting this report directly from the designer? What version of Crystal Reports? Have you tried exporting to RTF (Rich Text Format), which Crystal calims to be the best\most stable? You may try going to and updating the export DLL's for your version.

I am using 8.5 and although I agree that the Rich Text format is the most reliable, I need to have this go into an Excel sheet. Terri Mimbs

I suggest exporting directly from within the designer and updating the export DLL's as I mentioned in my previous reply.
