Hi Guys,

I've created a formula which is FieldA \ FieldB. the contents of Field A is 315 the contents of fieldB is 22.5 the result should be 14 but is actually showing as 13. Any ideas?

Many thanks

Sam

place fields A and B in the details section (if they are not there already) and format them to 4 decimal places and make sure the actual values are as they say and they are not simply being displayed differently. Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

I agree with dbielenda you are using the wrong slash use / instead of \ that should cure your problem

The following is from a help file that I downloaded from the Crystal Decisions website. (Search for cr8_formularef.zip file in the download area of CD) The help file offers more in depth explanations of formulas.

Integer divide (x \ y)
Basic and Crystal syntax.

Usage
x \ y

Divides Number value x by Number value y and returns a quotient that is a whole number.

Note: If x or y is not a whole number, then it is first rounded before the operation.
