Formula criteria????

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me simply how to create a formula to 'SUM' all the values in an amount field. The values I want to include in the sum are only ones which are for a certain product! (in another field).

Mel,

You don't need a formula for the sum, just INSERT summary and choose the field.

If you want a conditional summary (ie sum of a field, but included only when yet another field meets a specified test), then (depending on your version)
Insert|Running Total
or
Insert|Field Object, then highlight Running Total and click on the New icon.
I'm not sure from your question whether you wanted an simple summary (answered in the previous post) or a conditional summary. Malcolm
