Been looking around for a way to build a field with a custom value. I can seem to only get half way. Need to create an ID based on the values of the created field, department, category and title all in the form of a string
working with the date in a calculated field is ok, however working with values of lookups, which the department and category are is truly not easy.
The calculated field only lets you use string and numeric values, not the values of lookups.
I was considering using a variable in a workflow and assigning it to the field, but I can't seem to do more than a string builder or a sum.
is there a way to build a complex formula using dates, and lookup values and assigning it to a text field?
