I need to create a log file of what reports/forms our
users are running. All jobs are submitted from menus
using the iap30 command line. Does iap30 have any switches
I can specify to dump the user name, program name, and date/time into a file or database?
(Forms 3.0 , ReportWriter 1.1) Oracle 7, SunOS 5.5.1)
Thanks
Sandy

I am assuming that ou are using the Oracle Forms Menu ? If so, just before you call the iag30 command, why don't you do an insert into an audit table in the database storing the report name, username and date and time stamps ?

Yes, I guess I could do it that way. I could create a new script to do the INSERT and then call iap30. I could modify the menu_b_option.command_line field with the new script name. I'm curious, though. Can you use triggers
in the MENU builder? If so, I can do the INSERT with a trigger and not change the command line.
Thanks for your reply.
