Hi,
Can someone point me in the right way of creating forms within access 97 that would be able, by typing say...the phone number of a particular record, and retreiving the other data for that record in a specified table. Is it a form I'm even looking for?
* Just in case Im being too vague, I'm looking for a way to update client info in a "foolproof" kinda way for my client database.

cheers steve

You could create a form that has a command button that runs a query that prompts you for the information you want to match. The only problem would be that you would have to enter it exactly as it is in the database. A drop down box on the name might be a better solution, as you typed the name the list would drop towards the one your looking for. There would be other means it just depends more on the size of the database and how you want to key in on the records.
