Forms take so long

A general question really. Can anyone give me some general guidance on speeding up the opening of a form as some take condierably longer to open than others. I assume it's determined by underlying queries and numbers of controls etc. Any advice would be appreciated

I'd guess it is something to do with your table indexing. Make sure all fields that are regularly searched on, or used in joins are indexed.

Other than that I have got my biggest performance gains from maintaining a persistent connection to the backend database.

Name AutoCorrect is supposed to track changes to objects such as tables and automatically update dependant objects like queries.

In my experience it isn't particularly reliable anyway so I've always preferred to do it myself.
