I've created a form with a tab control box. When I go to the form from design or from opening the database, I have to click on this vertical bar on the left side of the form to get to the top of the form otherwise, it opens to the middle of the form.
Can't find what the name of the bar is or what it's purpose is. Also, how can I open to the top of the form?
Thank you! *:->*

If I understand you, you say that this is in design view of the form. That window, with it's tools and headers included, is the size of the window when it is actually displayed (real mode?). You can increase the size of the window by dragging the corners, etc and hit the save button to save it to this size. This will make your window seem too big when not in design mode (real mode?), but you can always size it back when you have finished making your modifications.

Hope that helps... Terry M. Hoey

Terry-
No, this is when I am in the actual form that there is a vertical bar on the left side that I click on to get to the top of the form which contains a tab control.
I have other forms without tab controls and I don't have this problem.
Thanks!

th3856,
I think you have the detail section set to long. In design view scroll to the bottom of the detail section,click on the end, a vertical double arrow with a line through the middle will appear, hold the mouse on the detail section. Move the mouse up until the desired height is obtained in form view.

The bar on the left that you're clicking on is the record selector. If for some reason you need the form to be as long as it is, you might try changing your tab order so that the first control to get focus is one at the top.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will give them a try and see what works. :->
