Forms maximize disappears 1

In all of my forms I have docmd.maximize in the on open event. I'm working on an application where several forms are open at the same time. But sometimes when I open a form by clicking a button on the current form the current form loses its maximization (which will be noticable once I close the second form) and loses its docking in the database pane. Why does this happen and how can I prevent it from happening?

Probably because the prior form was not maximized. On the forms you want to be max'd, you could put the command in the On Activate instead of the On Load.
