Is it possible using the VB editor in Excel to create a form with some variable text fields, which will open with a workbook for the varibles to be entered, & can then be made to populate specified cells with the info from the variable fields in the form?

When in the VBE menu Insert -> UserForm

Hope This Helps, PH.
