Our current database has been operational for approx 9months now. It has had continual modification to it (from tables to modules). Within the last few weeks, it became corrupt, & is also getting progressively slower. I have tried creating a clean database, & copying all objects into it (it consists of two source db,s & a front-end db). This makes no difference whatsoever. I am confident it is not a problem with tables or queries, because tables open, & queries execute perfectly, & very quickly. However, form opening is terribly slow. One particular form (which I have been using a lot), opened within a couple of seconds a few weeks back. If I now open it, it takes nearer to 20! If I open a backup of the database (from a few weeks ago) it opens as it used to. No significant changes have been made to the forms...

Has anybody else heard about this/ solved this?? James Goodman

Just some ideas off the top of my head....
1. Obviously, a compact would be helpful.
2. Check for any extreaneous code that is not necessary.
3. Debug to trace the steps involved in loading the form. Perhaps there is something being called you are not aware of.
4. Has the network been changed?
5. Any changes to the PC client(s)?
