I have a main form with three subforms that don't fit entirely on the screen. Every time I go to the bottom half of the subform the main form does not scroll down. If I manually scroll down the main form, after entering data in the subform the main form jumps(scrolls up) to the top. How can I resolve this problem i.e.(1- make the main form scroll to the bottom as I hit the scroll arrows or as the fields in the bottom half of the subforms receive the focus, and 2- stop the main form from jumping up to the top after data entry in the subforms).
thanks

Have you considered a page break between mainform and subforms, with a toggle button to allow you to switch back and forth? It's probably not an ideal solution but, having experienced the problem you describe, I've found it does allow for a neater transition between portions of the form.

how do I disply what someone has selected on another form. dont want to use any visual basic

Dear Visitor-

This thread is about dealing with a form longer than screen length. What are you dealing with?

Visual Basic (VBA) is an integral part of Access. If you're unwilling to learn about and use it, then perhaps you'd be more comfortable with a less sophisticated application, e.g., MS Works.

I did try the button with the page break, however, this is not a smooth solution. every time I need to move from on subform to another after data entry the main form jumps to the top.

Have you considered using a Tab control? Durkin

Yes, as a matter of fact I have many forms with tab controls. the format has to be the way I discribed. Trust me the solution has to be in stopping the main form from jumping. I can resolve the problem by increasing the resolution but the people I am doing this for, want to make it 800 by 600. so do you know anything about this problem?
thanks
Al
