How do you access the current value displayed in a combo box with SQL?

Thank you,
Grainner

Thank you Terry
However, I am still having problems I have written an SQL query to select only certain rows for a combo box but it only works if the query is run outside of the form. If I run it inside the form using the row source property it does not return any values. Have you any suggestions?

Thank u
Grainne

Let me see if I understand your process. You have a form with a text box. You want to use the value in that text box to select records to populate a combo box. Is this correct?

If I've understood correctly, then you can add the following code in the "After Update" event of the text box.

Me!ComboBox.Requery

The combo box will be filled with data matching the criteria in the text box, if there are any matches. Terry
