Forms 6i; Precompute summarise and isolation mode = serializable

Can someone give me good information on the relationship between using the Precompute Summarize property on a detail block while using the Isolation Mode = Serializable in the module? Specifically, I am trying to figure out if this configuration is benign, positive or a problem. The problem I am concerned about is: will this present inconsistent summarized values when compared to the fetched records?
