FormMail

Hi,

I want to design a form in dreamweaver MX and use the FormMail.pl script and I know my webhost supports perl.

I am not the proficient in form design so I am likely to do something wrong.

Basically I can thinking of designing it in a frame and then inserting the form objects, like text fields etc.

Ive read the FormMail readme file and there are some aspects that I do not understand which could hinder me.

Is there a basic tutorial or a walkthrough on how to design a form or how to implement the FormMail.pl script as the readme is kinda confusing in some parts.

How much extra code do I have to add to the actual form code?

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

I suggest that you do not use anything that was made or available by Matt's Scripts archive. Many isp's are defaulted to search for his formail.pl and formail.cgi script and render it useles.

Suggst you look into a PHP or ASP backed form as that will work better and prevent malicious code from executing

There should be plenty of form development help in the Macromedia help files. It's really not that difficult. The calls don't take much space.
