Hello,

We are using matt's formmail script,
it is installed on a single domain, and allows a lot of other domains to use it, by adding those domain names to the @referer array in formmail.pl

what i would like to have is the @referer array being read from a database table, so I dont have to manually add the domain names every time.

so I want the formmail script to connect to my database table and read all the allowed domains from that table.
searched a lot with google on this subject but no luck.

My cgi knowledge is close to zero, so any help is greatly appreciated.

You need a server side script to do what you want but a lot more information would be required before we could even start to help you.
What database are you using?
What server side language are you using?
What do you have already?

Keith

Hi

Additionally, as the [tt]Referer[/tt] HTTP header can be easily spoofed, validations based on it are quite weak.

I would probably replace the script instead of modifying it.

Thanks for your reply Keith,

I am using an mysql database , LAMP server.

I have the standard formmail.pl script from matts.

So I want to setup a mysql connection in the perl script
and have it read all allowed domains from my database,
and user them in the @referrers array.
