Hi,

Does anyone have experience with what appears to be a database called FormBase. I've inherited an old system or application called FormBase & would like to extract the data, or better understand how data is stored.

It appears to have been created by Columbia Software. Version 1.1 - July 1990. It runs in Windows 3.1.

What we would like to do is export the data from this system to SQL database.

I have reviewed the product. There is an export function, which allows you to export data to text, dBase & Lotus 1 2 3 formats. But this requires the user to export every individual dataset/report. I cannot determine whether the data is stored in tables or in each individual report. It's difficult to determine the architecture of the application. There appear to be 2 file types used by the application ".FB0" & ".FB1" files.

If anyone has any experience with this application, I'd appreciate their thoughts on getting at the data.
Or is aware of any tools out there that extract data from FormBase, I would appreciate their help.

The application appears to have data stored in over 500 files. So, I'm hoping there is an easy way to export the data...

I am hoping, I won't have to indivivdually export every dataset. Maybe there is a better way.
