hi, been an age since my programming days and looking for some help with this simple thing

i need to format a date entered by the user via a dialog box

user will enter 22-apr-2005 and need this formatted several times, into month (mmm), month (mmmm), previous month (mmm)

I then need to include the formatted values into a formula, help with referencing the formatted values would also be much appreciated.

Sorry if this is below your skills

Have a look at Format() in the VBA help. That should point you in the right direction.

Hope this helps
