I want to insert blank lines between my query results in MS Access

For example i want

DEPARTMENT_ID LAST_NAME SALARY
20 Hartstein 13000
80 Russell 14000
80 Partners 13500
90 King 24000
90 Kochhar 17000
90 De Haan 17000

to be

DEPARTMENT_ID LAST_NAME SALARY
20 Hartstein 13000

80 Russell 14000
80 Partners 13500

90 King 24000
90 Kochhar 17000
90 De Haan 17000

So in this case department id identifies the record.

Is there any way I can use SQL to achieve this?

No, but if you create a report based on the query, then you can use the Grouping feature to do just that.
Queries are for returning raw data, reports are for displaying and formatting the data.
