formatting messed up more and more when looking at pdf

I created a PDF file.
When I open up my pdf file and print it, it looks fine both on my screen and on the printout.
I then look all throughout my pdf file and the more and more I flip from page to page, my formatting gets messed up.
Has anyone ran into this before?
