i'm working on a report where i'm conditionally suppressing the detail section for a certain condition. the report is working fine in all formats but when export to CSV, the conditional formatting fails. It looks like it ignores the condition.

working with CR8.5 and DB2.

any idea about this issue??

Thanks in advance.

hi,

That's because you are exporting to a TEXT file, that, by difinition, CANNOT be formatted!

Skip,

for a NUANCE![tongue]

I've had a similar problem but found no answer, CSV ignores selective suppression of sections.

You could try defining your data as one big field, with the values separate by commas. Export as text, then convert to CSV by changing the suffix. It worked in Crystal 10.

You could also try conditional formulas to return fields instead of conditional formatting, i.e., instead of suppressing when {table.fieldA} = "X", use a formula like:

if {table.fieldA} <> "X" then {table.fieldB}
