It's so frustrating that formatted .ppr reports loose their formats when placed in Excel. Anyone out there ever just tried to create a blank dimension for formatting? Instead of inserting a blank, just insert your blank dimension or level and rename. If you have and it worked, please let me know. Suggestions?

Thanks

Hi datawrangler,
I agree, this line break/blank is a long standing issue. I did try a dummy dimension but it is not a sustainable outcome. I suspect that one way is to manually configure the xml (PPX) file but I am not sure how the cognos parser treats it. Great post on a fiddly hair-tearing problem.
