Hello,

As a vendor of output management software, I would
like my output to be formatted as regular ASCII text.
(Line Printer) or (Generic Text) in Windoze.

I have been getting report files from CR that have
fields truncated and missing, data values truncated
and loped off in the front also, and generally unusable
results.

My question is:

Can you define a report in CR to us an old dot matrix type
of printer that would be able to print, say, a pre-printed
check form, positioning fields at certain lines and columns?

Thanks for your help with this.

Several of my reports print to an okidata 9 pin printer. I have the printer set up as a generic wide carriage printer on the server and they seem to work fine.

You may just have to play around with placement on the report to get the data in the correct places.

yes jamey, we can do that, but what about fonts headers and details headers.
even then i am facing a very big problem regd this. i have tried a lot with all other possiblities, can anyone send solution for me to get o/p in dot matrix printers withou useing generic printer.pls
replies will be helpful
thanks
parthi
