Hello,
I am having a problem with my date feild. Somehow my dates have all been converted to sequence numbers. For example my dates look like "37556". I understand what that number means, but how do i translate that number back into a date format that looks like this 3/8/2003? I have tried to fix the problem by using an update query, but cant seem to fix it. Thanks for the help.

First, make sure your date field is still DEFINED as a date in the table structure.

Try setting the DISPLAY FORMAT of it to "mm/dd/yyyy"

Dates are, as you've noted, really just numbers - so having the "37556" guy there simple means that for whatever reason, you are displaying the date as its' serial number value.

You can do this to any DATE datetype - go into it's table and change the DISPLAY FORMAT to # and see...

Me? Ambivalent? Well, yes and no....
