Formatting date prompts for use in Headers

Hi

For my sins I use Cognos 6. If a report contains date prompts, I usually insert these into the Header, but they appear in format yyyy-mm-dd and I haven't found a way to format them in a more user friendly way. Can anyone help?

Cognos 6? Which product? Why can't you use the functions with the product?

Impromptu cognos 6 reporting tool. You can format date fields but not prompt ones - give it a try. They default to the system date setting. If you know a function to do this, please tell.
