I have a report detail band that prints extra spaces when there is not enough data to fill it. Is there a way to shrink that white space?

Have you set the report's Can Shrink property to Yes?

That should be the Detail section's Can Shrink property.

Thanks guys, I have already checked that. (I should have posted it with the original post...sorry).
What's funny is it prints the detail with the lines, but once the detail is done printing the lines stop.
Is there a way to post a screenshot?
