Hello all,

I need to format an external hdd larger than 32GB. I have a Windows 98SE laptop here but I cannot hook up the external drive to it b/c of driver issues and I cannot find any drivers online for win98se (Maxtor OneTouch 2)

Is there any software or programs that can be used to format this drive larger than 32GB?

thx

No I don't have access to another machine. UBC has like 100 programs, any idea which one will achieve the FAT32 formation of over 32Gb?

thx

Go to and search for "Parted Magic". The program is free and makes a boot disc with access to a partition editor (it's fast/efficient and runs in a Linux environment). The editor looks a lot like Partition Magic and gives you a wide range of options including what you're trying to do.

Did I mention it's free?! [wink]
