I have a 160GB hard disk that is being used in a Snap Server, running UNIX. There are two drives that I need to format.

When the original formatting is done, it stops both of them at 40% and then kills the command.

Does anyone know why this would do this? And if so how can I get the drives to completely format all 160GB?

I am a phone tech and have been asked to look into this as a project. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for you help.

What version of UNIX is this server running (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, LINUX) ?

Just called to find out. i guess I also need to know what type of Snap Server they are running, since I found out there are limitations to drive size on certain Snap Servers.

John.....more information on the way.
