I am using CR 8.5.

I want a report that will have two columns of data. The Format with Multiple Columns option is not working for me.

In the Layout tab, I set the following options:
Width of the Detail Size = 8in
Gap Between Details:
Horizontal = .5in
Vetical = .5in
Printing Direction: Across the Down

I have tried multiple values on the Layout tab, but my data always prints in just one column. I have put just one field (width of the field is only 1 inch) in the details section and it still does not work.

Thanks for any help.

Your problem is here:

Width of the Detail Size = 8in

this is the width of the column in the detail line....not the width of the page. Since you want only 2 columns I would guess that 4 inches may work better...

I never really used this feature but I am sure this is the problem

Hope this helps....jim
