Format Text to Number

Hello, using Crystal 9, is it possible to turn a text field to a number WHILE preserving the original format.

for example, the text field below is a customer number

"024625" and I wish to turn this into a number, if I apply the ToNumber command to the field, I get 24625 which is not what I want...

any ideas?

Why do you want to do this? You may use the converted number for calculations, supressed, but still display the char field. That might be all you need...what is your requirement?
