format problem

Hello,
I seem to keep having trouble with formatting...specifically, I am using a table to show numerous text fields and combo boxes in a web form. however, when previewing in a web browser, the fields are not in the same places as they were in my FrontPage view. Also, when the values in the drop down menu because longer (therefore wider horizontally) the box gets wider and therefore the table cell gets wider as well. How do I fix this?

Try adding a style of "table-layout:fixed" to your table:

<table ... style="table-layout:fixed;">

thanks, that make sense and i tried but it still doesn't work. when i have a drop down menu that has long values, the table gets wider because the cell with the drop down gets wider (the values for the drop down come from a result set)
