Hi,

I am showing Date prompt varibales in my report but I am not able to give them format which I want. I also checked regional settings on my computer for date, but it is different from the format of Prompt Variable.
My question is, can I change the format of date prompt variable from say "mm/dd/yy" to "dd/mm/yyyy", if yes, how?

Thanks.

See faq401-2137 for info. The short story is that you can either accept the default (YYYY-MM-DD), change your regional settings and configure Impromptu to use them (This affects ALL reports as well as date usage in other applications), or have the users enter the date as a string (provide a guiding example in your prompt text) and change the date to a string using functions in Impromptu.

Only one thing to add to Dave's comment is when you EXPORT (to excel or simimilar) the formatting is lost.

Have a great week-end,
