Format of ComboBox drop down list

I have a form with a ComboBox dropdown list of Social Security numbers. When the list opens many of the SS numbers don't have the dashes between the numbers and some do. All the numbers in the table have the dashes and after it pulls up the number to the box the dashes are there. I've put a SS number input mask on the table and box.
Anyone know what is causing this? It's not a critical problem, just has me baffled as to why it's happening.

Some SS numbers have been saved in the table without the dashes. I never use input masks since they often mask data issues.
